But for some reason, almost all of us have a firm conviction that people who are in prison are, to put it mildly, the scum of society.

Many of us believe that the main goal of prisoners is to escape from prison or at least shorten their stay in this godforsaken place, and certainly no criminal will miss such an opportunity.

However, when one day a bus carrying about 50 prisoners collided with a huge truck on a deserted highway on the way to Arizona, it seemed like there was no better opportunity to go on the run.

No one even thought that the prisoners would do exactly THIS…

After this story, I believed in humanity again!

Instead of making their long-awaited escape, the prisoners remained at the scene of the accident and simply began to help the victims. It is worth noting that there were quite a few of them… As a result of the collision, the bus driver and more than 20 prisoners were seriously injured, two of them were even hospitalized.

Why not move away from persistent and sometimes false stereotypes and look at this problem from a new angle? Even ordinary jailers are not alien to the feeling of compassion.
